Summary	Chromolithographic advertising print for the locomotive manufacturing company of William Mason & Co. of Taunton, Mass., incorporated in 1873 as the Mason Machine Works. The artist has depicted the locomotive engine, "Highland Light." The "Highland Light" shown here with the initials C.C.C.R.R. painted on it, was built for the Cape Cod Central Railroad Company in 1867 and was probably named after a famous lighthouse in the Cape Cod town of Turo, Mass. The engine is viewed from the side on railroad tracks in a rural setting. Range of possible dates for print based on the year the locomotive was built and the address of the lithographic firm of Charles H. Crosby. Print bears evidence of a printed single line border around image. Border not visible in a duplicate impression of print in the Boston Athenaeum's Print Room collection.
