Real no. 32., calendar no. 153. : the Committee on the Military, to whom was referred "a bill to provide a district police guard of military cadets," report : that though they highly approve of any plan which proposes to extend the benefits of education, and especially at this juncture, to any scheme which enlarges the chances of getting a military education, yet they do not think the resources of the state will warrant the expenditure which the scheme will involve : they therefore recommend that the bill do not pass : W. Ferguson Hutson, chairman : in the House of Representatives, December 4, 1862--read the bill the first time : a bill to provide a district police guard of military cadets.
